Heard Cormorant also got 6 Couta and T&R a GT yesterday with their 4 X yellow fins.

Looks like they will be the winners of this comp.

Marcos that yellow fin is awesome. You know which team weighed it?

By weather I meant sea conditions... some cold days we had this past week...

@ Toppie: Sorry, but most of the inland guys here have fished more than I did in the past year! Only launched twice since June 2011! Really need to go out! Suffering here....

Yesterday was a disaster... weather man said we would have a dead flat sea by 9:00.... we left the club at 7:45 and got such a beating with a +18 knt SE! It took us 2 h to get to B24 (just north of Baixo Dane) and the swells were HUGE and breaking on top of Maximvs!!!!

After being shaken like chips on a washing machine we called it off... saw a nice humpback with a calf happily breaching and a whale shark...

Stopped at the sand spit northern of Portuguese island and then had a nice ride back home... got to the club at 1 pm just in time for lunch!!!!

I guess 3 times will be a charm...

With the season ready to start and all maintenance and tackle preparation done,  our attention is turned to the weather sites for this weekend... Tuesday (national holiday) was promising some good conditions but it seems like monday will be better... Oh well...

One boat from our club was out today spearfishing at Baixo Danae... I radioed them around mid day and they had no joy, the vis was 5 m and the water temp was 21o C!!!! I guess we still need to wait a bit more...

Been raining since yesterday but some good conditions have been forecasted for the weekend. MAXIMVS and Maguro will go out tomorrow for the official kick-start of the season.

Plan is to get some gamefish (couta and YFT) for the pot and who knows the odd sailie...

Rain kept falling till 11:30... We waited at the club from 5:30 for it to stop and eventually gave up...

Another boat lauched at 13:00 and got 4 YFT, 1 kingfish and a green jobfish at Poco...

Next time!

That was my thinking initially but driving an open deck boat under pouring rain for 2.5 hours through the bay @ 10 knots is really not funny!!!
