Just spoken to Chad Alcock over the phone and they are sending me two packs of the 0.8 mm kwik clips to try out. Looking forward to this.

Nice pics Kent! I am glad I went for the 0.8 mm clips, anything above that will be overkill for my application!

Just some feedback on the kwik clips. I got two packets of the 0.8 mm version in the post from PE this week. They are very small, exactly what I want behind my lures. Used them for the first time this morning and switching between lures has never been so easy. I don't think I will look back again. Thanks Kent for your advice on this.

The 0.8 mm one looks exactly the same, just smaller.

Steenie, hows a pick of the whole plug please so I can check size   overall. I would put a tiny power swivel on the other end so the line   doesn't twist too much if the lure turns in the water, but not if it's going to make a large tangle of   metal in front of the lure....

Here we go - fitted to a 1.5 oz plug. I tie the kwik clip directly to my fluorocarbon leader and then just switch between lures. I tried it yesterday and it appears to work fine with plugs, slimbaits and couta casting spoons without a small swivel.

Why do you put a swivel on the Hook end?

Why do you put a swivel on the Hook end?

This is how Barry bring all the GT Icecream needlenose plugs out. Splitring - swivel - splitring - hook arrangement. The flat-face in the photo came out with a red dacron stinger, but I took it off. This plug in the photo got me a 70 cm (fork length) shad earlier this month.

Just confirmed with Craig Thomassen.  He ties leader directly to the kwik clip without a swivel.

Cool, thanks Steenie. Where did you get them?

From the Alcock brothers in PE. Their tackle shop supplies them. About R50 for 5 stainless steel clips. They call them paper clips. Chad Alcock says the 0.8 mm clips are perfect for spinning from the shore.

Steenie, you can get these clips from BM in Durban, no need to shop "abroad".

Last time I checked they did not stock it. Several others, but not these specific ones. Will go and check when I go to the shop next time.
