About fishing deep sea from Cape Town for tuna has any of You experience with Classic Cape Charters?
They are the ones most conveniently located but I want to go with true professionals

What do you mean when you say "conveniently located"? All charters are run from Gordons Bay, Simonstown, Millers Point or Hout Bay. I'm not familiar with Classic Cape Charters, which alone would make me consider other options.
Look at:
FT Charters (Fish Tales Charters)
Two Oceans charters
Outrageous Charters
Reel Thyme charters
Hooked on Africa
Xtreme fishing charters
Trust you'll come right, FT Charters might be your best value-for-money option.
All the best and tight lines!

Thank You for the tip!
As for the
"conveniently located" it is located in CT , we will unload the car before we hit CT and the winelands.
I have contacted the FT Charter and asked them if it is possible to set me up with another fisherman to split the costs - it would also provide me with a valid alibi

Here are two other species caught this weekend. among other fish (cod, weavers etc)
The one in the net is a small see trout. there are a ton of these this year which makes catching a large one (min size is 45 cm) very hard. They are fun on ultra-light tackle
There is plenty of mackerel as well. this one is fair size and on my UUL tackle they are a blast

Thanks!
Here are some picture for yesterday.
It is a northern pike. Essentially a freshwater barracuda (they do live in brackish water sa well).
The pike is the largest fish we can hope to catch in freshwater , they can grow over 20 kg but large ones ( 10 kg) are rare.
They fight reasonably well and on my UL a 4-5 kg is a 50-50 fight. Largest I have caught is 8 kg (I dream of becoming a member of the 10 kg club - hint. it doesn´t involve airplanes)
The one on the pictures is 2,5 kg, and he almost jumped into the boat during the fight

HATE IT. You sit and look do into a hole in the ice in freezing cold
I told my friends that if they cut a 40 m long hole , so I can cast , then I might be interested.

It can be pretty nice - IF it is a really sunny day with no wind.
But up north the lay on their stomach with cover over the head looking down into the hole
And if you hook a nice fish, odds are that you´ll have problem getting it through the hole without losing the fish (happened to me)
