We fished Sat, flip thought holidays were over got to the club just after 4 and were No. 13 in the queue to launch and already dozens trailers on the beach, total of 125 boats launched. Headed out, + - 15 boats puzzling for bait just off limestone, we went around the corner another + - 15 boats looking for bait, went to Sh**  pipe instead to find another 15 odd boats chasing bait, huge baitballs all over the place. Headed off for our own gameplan, decided to fish bottoms and managed some fresh fish for the pan also FFF Snr managed a nice Dorrie 7kilo.
Water temp was average 25.5 degrees and beautiful purple colour.

Fished with Greg and Tara, was at the club 03h40 and 5 in the line, launched and went for snoek but the baby shad were wild and a pest, managed one snoek rev but it didn't stick (story of the day) puzzled for bait and chased dolphins, had a number of runs but could not get a fish to stick was one of those days, all I caught was a sunburn for 7 + hours on the water

While you were all queuing , I was snoring  w;k :hnthnt: got up at 6:30 has some coffee, checked the wind history on my iPad, connected the batteries, loaded some rods and some drinks, hitched up and took a slow drive down.......first in line to launch at 8:30  :hnthnt:......crew bailed so just me!!
Loaded up with small shad and pulled for couta off Glenashley, its a bit early in the year but the water was 25 and crystal!! No couta but a first for me was a small 40-50kg Tiger shark, I have seen big ones around the boat but never caught one - nice to see!
At around 11 I shot out to the 50m off Umhlanga and pulled lures, as it start raining the two very close flatlines went away and I ended up with a double up of dollies around the swirl area, with 4 rods out it was fun and games but I landed both in the end, a female and a bull. Interestingly they were both an identical length of 107 but the female was almost 1kg heavier at 8.7kgs compared to the bull at 7.6 :dunno: possible all the roe....
That Tiger shark is excellent eating I must say :crzy :craz:
Just Fish!!!
