A bad days fishing is better than sitting at home moping.

Well, after being off the water for 4 months, FFF got the boat running again and Saturday with weather looking absolute pearler, FFF, FFF jnr and myself could not resist the tempation of being on the big blue. We were at the club at 05h30 and by 05h50 all ready to go, looked around the parking lot and it was like the festival except all boats were in the parking lot.

We struggled for bait around the corner, managed 2 mozzies and a pike, then decided we will get bait on our journey South near shark nets, on route we spotted Dolphins, i pitched a bait and not long game was on, after + - 10min tackle failure and we lost a beeg Tuna (thats how the game goes). Anyways we puzzled most the day caught a handful of reef dwellers so fresh fish for the pan. FFF Jnr spotted Tuna surfacing and FFF Snr put a mozzie out and not long after zzzz game was on again, after a nice decent little fight FFF had a nice 20 kilo tuna on deck, not long after called it quits and time for a few cold ones and were back on beach by 14h00.

Great to be on the water again, was a awesome day, conditions were too good, water temp was 21/22, crystal clear water.

Well done gents sounds like a great day on the water  (clap)

The south coast keeps on trucking with some serious couta this season. Some local old salts came right off Port Edward with 8 croc couta and a bus kingie! Biggest couta went 35kg. PJ Botha also found the bus ambers off Shelly, he got 5 over the weekend all on bonnies:

Nice fish guys, eish I wish those couta would make an appearance around here, tried again for 3 hrs!! What a pearler of a day Saturday, not even enough wind to push a drift!!
Also found the biggest pod of dolphins I have seen in a long time, the wife was out with the camera.........I had other ideas :hnthnt:
After pitching a mozzie I got her onto her PB and first YFT (now she has caught everything except billfish)!!  After plenty moaning and bitching(as women do w;k) and wanting to give me the rod we landed this 20kg slab!!

Fished off Pennington on Saturday and had some good times and some horrible ones.

Got through the shorie got some bait and headed to the grounds to fish. On the way there we had the one motor seize on us so while seeing what we could do i put out a trapstick with a mozzie and noticed some bonnies surfacing and put a spoon amongst them and went vas!

Pinned him and sent him looking for a wahoo or a cuda to snack on him. While letting it out the rod with a mozzie went away and straight after the rod in my had took off.

The one one the spinning stick dropped the bait, and mine carried on peeling line.

After a grueling 30-45min fight on 12kg line we boated a tuna of 32kgs! Excellent start to the day!

So we put lines in and pulled plastics to the fishing grounds and went vas with a screamer! Hannah proceeded to boat a wahoo of 19kgs! It soon died off after that . We got two screams on the live bonnie witch we think could of been more wahoo but they just missed the hooks slicing the tail off. We then climbed onto a mates boat and all had a safe beaching.
