The snoek are wild off St Lucia
Launched on Sunday from DSBC at about 6am went north for some snoek, only managed to get a few baits mauled by small shad. Headed for the Barge which looked like something was happening but only produced bait. On the way to the barge we passed a couple of schools of sards which looked like they were being chassed, cast plugs and spoons and pulled lures around and through them but NADA I see there is a gang of self appointed boat washers at DSBC that have tried to lay claim at of the taps. They sit on the bench outside the club house and harass every boat that pulls up to the taps. Even after telling the one quite clearly that I am quite capable of washing my own boat, the minute I turned my back he put his bucket and hose right at the tap were I was working....a real irritation after a relaxing day out at sea.
The guys who are too lazy to wash their own boats will be the same ones having valuables or gear stolen. Once the rot sets in its difficult to stop.
