Launched the skis at Westbrook yesterday morning. Sea was very quiet and lots of dirty water.

Managed to pick up one lone dorry. Fish braai thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family!

Spectacular day fishing with good mates off Shelly Beach. Started with some great dorado action getting 4 nice dorado on lures and live bait and dropping 4 more. Then a few tuna on Protea Reef before heading back to Shelly Beach Ski Boat Club only to wait an hour in the queue on back line waiting to beach. While waiting we found a sneaky young sailfish working baitfish on the back line, I hooked him up quickly on a small pink Onda lure on the flickstick with a Sustain 5000 and 20lb braid and had a top class 10 minute fight before releasing the young sailie to grow a bit bigger!

Hi guys.
Got back from Zanzibar last night and hit the ocean today.
We launched early as there was a window before the predicted west.
We got 2 pulls early on live bait and I landed on tuna of about 12kgs... At one point in the fight it almost jumped into the boat! Nearly took my cap off when it launched itself..

Things went quite after we lost another decent fish after the line parted.

We then went deep and found a very strong current on the 50m mark. And put two baits out. Went double up on Dori's but the both shook the hooks on their first jump..

We then changed to a small single trebble hook to get a better hook up and the first fish to pick up our bait .... A sailie! After feeding it for what felt like ages, I failed to get the hook up! We headed back to the beach and called it a day..

Hopefully launching tomorrow and test a seacat 636... So watch this space!
