and Jup, the Windhoeks had skewed my eyes, I was actually looking at the 3rd April

, but hey the 5th or 6th of March will work as well.

If everyone is ok with the 5th, then it's set in stone.

Now the venue ???? Hmmmmmm, Seasoned Rock Anglers who can handle big waves etc, ( I've seen Monster wade in flats booties and rapids mean nothing to him

),
so I'm thinking maybe Oord Nebo? ( Flows permitting ).
A great venue with chalets and camping facilities for those who wish to make a full weekend of the trip.

Great choice of venue there Herman. Excellent facilities, good fishing and easy wading.

I am very keen to get yellows but its go to be not to far away as I have to look at my petrol budget and if I can afford it or not...

I am sure this also goes for a lot of the other guys and hope this will be taken in consideration when planning on a venue.

Don't worry Kumz, i am a complete Novice, the reason i am keen to tag along is so that guys like Herman and Rory can show me how it's done, quite a few people joining so it sounds like it's going to be an awesome outing

Gerhard, If petrol is a concern why not organise that a few of you go in one car and split the costs? This is what we usually do on Vaal trips.

from a 2 dollor Ho with a fly rod either !!! Any body needing a lift is more that welcome to travel with me from Randburg ! My fuel is on the house so no worries .

I do 99.9% of my fishing alone so it would be good to go out with other guys on the water...

Fishing alone is like drinking alone - not recommended!
