Think the first 2 pics are definitely Greenspot/Brassy Kingies. 3rd one is a GT.

Good morning guys,

Hope one of you MTB guys can help me with some info please.
I noticed that most of you launch at Club Navel.
Would you be able to tell me what the 2019 launching fees are and what a lunching permit will cost me ?.

Is club Navel better than Escola....?

Also I am struggling to get hold of them regarding secure parking prices for my bakkie and trailer.

I am bringing the family to Santa Maria 15th of June and have arranged for the lodges boat to fetch my wife and daughters. My son and I are planning on taking the boat across the bay.

Is June a good time to fish MTB ?.

Any assistance would be highly appreciated .

Thanks

Heya, not sure on the fees, but the thing to remember is that at Naval you can just about launch anytime / any tide (of course depending on your boat's size, draft etc), now with Escola, you got to time the tides to the tee, as it's very shallow in the actual basin, likewise with Maritimo, you are also at the mercy of the tides - Best to make Naval your only choice and option. You can also leave your vehicle inside.
Happy days!

Also, watch the tides. On June 15ththe low tide will be at 09:10 with 0.8 m. If this is your first launch here, either follow the local boat VERY closely or watch your ploter/sounder. Plenty sand banks as you approach Inhaca. You can get stuck for a long time.

Hi,

Thanks for the info, yes the local boat will be collecting my wife at 13:00, because of the tide.
He wants to collect them at Escola though...I would rather leave my bakkie at  club Navel. It looks much saver there.

You guys won’t happen to have a e-mail or phone number for club Navel would you ? The number on the net just keeps ringing.

Thanks

at naval trailer stays inside the premises and car always stay outside
ar escola náutica both car and trailer stay inside
as you will read the launching fees will be cheaper at escola náutica
a lot of ZA people have moved their launches to escola náutica due to car safety and launch prices

You can try Sra. Lina +258 82 6zero2 53seven8

Can't guarantee the number is still valid. Usually we just go there and book it. Imagine in your case that won't work...

So the wife and i took an MSC cruise on the Orchestra from 2 - 6 march. We were supposed to go up to Pomene, but due to bad weather further up the captain changed the itinerary and we anchored off the Portugese islands. As we passed Maputo at approximately 6am on the 3 March i saw a bait ball being smashed by shoal couta. It was amazing to watch as they launched themselves in to the air. Then at anchor off the portugese island we saw 2 turtles swim past our balcony, which species i cant tell as we were to high up.
The wife and i did an excursion to snorkle off Santa maria, so when arriving at Inhaca we were greeted by the local fisherman who had just come back from their morning fishing with a few greater barracuda. The snorkling off santa maria was mind blowing, i saw goldies 2M from shore, where as in KZN they are only seen when scuba diving deep reefs or wrecks. I know its not fishing related, but i was really taken aback by the beauty of mozambique. You chaps are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place. Ps your 2M beers taste much better than our beers in SA

Booked another cruise from 18 - 22 Jan 2021, the MSC opera docks in maputo harbour on 19 Jan 2021 and we spend a day and night there. I'd love to hook up with one of you guys from maputo, either for a short fishing trip (Fuel paid) or organise a tour around maputo
