We did the usual hi speed trolling (http://www.ultimateangling.co.za/index.php?topic=21782.0)  using one Demon Tackle bullet and a lure from the US (ballyhood wahoo express).

forgot to mention...ballywood did not resist the jig speed trolling...SS wire broke with the twists

Not really. They are not fussy, but I tend to use dak colours and contrasts..... black/blue, red/black, orange/blak...

Game fishing is on fire here. Good catches of YFT (plenty of taxes being paid!!!), couta and other pelagics. I'm sure the bills are around fatting up on the yft as well!!!

4play went out today...they had a marln strike, fought a saily that got away and blanked on game fish
they mentioned not a single bird and bait activity seen all day

The billfish bite is ON since xmas... multiple strikes and boats getting good action and releases...

Had a late launch yesterday with my son and brother straight to the deep.

Lost a good fish that peeled line to about 1/3 of the 50 Lb reel and then landed on the line next to the dacron / mono. Broke the mono when we were ready to fight it after 3 minutes of furious jumping and running....

Water temp between 24.5 - 25.6o C. Very clean after the southerly breeze. Great day anyway!

Bad Luck Marcos!! Where were you fishing and what Depth? We managed 1 Stripey on Saturday and dropped a real nice Blue on Friday unfortunately! We were off the lighthouse on the 350-500m and only saw "Bite Me" out in the Deep the whole day.
