Great report peterb! Yeah I guess that sums it up... I tell you what.... I'm still shattered bro! Being out of shape is one thing, being in NO shape at all... that's me!!!!  :toppie:

Great fishing and awesome conditions....must say I'm really impressed with the little Stradic 8000 (20 Lb braid) paired with the trevala. Fantastic combo!

Didn't have lot's of opportunities to snap pics but here's one with the loggerhead munching on some inverts on the jerrycan and some of the surface activity of the YFT shoals!

Brilliant stuff guys, what a superb day. I hope I can twist your arms for some waypoints for the October trip.
B1 is a long way north isn't it? How much fuel did you use for the day?

from Manico it's about 18nm...but when it's working it does worth the trip
we did bad on fuel...I have reved up a bit more then usual as the sea was flat and ended up using 170lt on 87nm which is about 1.95lt per nm

Ouch that is heavy PB, my 2 X 140hp on my 2,5 tons tug does that!! time to invest it 4 strokes!!

indeed 7/10's...it's heavy
but it's an old equation I always did when buying cars diesel vs petrol (considering diesel is cheaper then petrol which in moz and most of the countries is)
it's a huge difference on the car price and how much more in advance you need to pay for the car (when buying diesel)...
then how many miles you do per year to compensate that much you have paied for the diesel engine...you need to be a big road digger to compensate that
same applies to 2stk vs 4 stk...you need plenty outings to compensate the amount of money spend on the 4stk engine...

tha's also why I run a 3.4 V6 petrol engine

Alone on the boat, decent weather I did 0,7L/nm on my 60 zukes.

Heavy load with bad weather I did 1L/nm.

To Santos, a friend fishing on his 21 ft Acecraft 21 "Waikiki II" went out yesterday to roughly the same area up north and got 4 YFT (4-6 kg) and 4 couta (~ 5kg). They braved NE winds all day, but got rewarded...

I know there's a secret plan to go out on Saturday, but I've been excluded
