l hooker and tommo - thanks guys

@tommo - initially and especially in swartkops it was hard to see exactly how the grunter were approaching / reacting to the lure - keeping a careful eye on the lure was often the only hint something was there, other than obviously when you went vas - in East London surrounds I have found a few places that often has cleaner water and now one can see exactly whats up - they often follow that lure for way way longer than one would think - you can make the grunter zig and zag with the lure as you dog walk it - it is mind blowing to watch, especially when its 4 or 5 all doing the same thing at the same time - other days while retrieving you can see the grunter come flying from 10m left or right of the lure and they absolutely smack it at full pace - very often there is an almighty commotion at your lure (and your brain is thinking career best fish) and when you hook him its a grunter no bigger than 40cm - the aggression is hard to believe -I have changed a lot of my thinking towards grunter and top waters since those earlier swartkops days - but there is one thing for sure, its is massively exciting, they are incredible fish to target that way - especially in clean water when you see every move they make clear as day

haha last year while my girlfriend was at the dr's I quickly popped down to the river to find it clear as gin - a guy and his family were sitting in their car on the bank behind and higher than me - looking down they could see nicely - after a few minutes the guy jumped and came running over - "goeie zxxxzz oom, kan jy sien hoe volg daai visse jou lure" - next thing he was on his phone and as I was leaving his mates arrived with their prawns and rods -  haha even in the clear water they camouflage themselves against the sand very well and you wont even know they there, till they start chasing down lures
