Got to Woelwaters to find Gavin, Walks and Kallie braaing a chair in a torrential downpour !!!!
After it cleared, I managed 2 muddies and a rapala sized Yellow.
Lost a dream yellow of at least 2-3 kgs.
Hit Silver Strome yesterday, and after a slowish morning managed 3 yellows and lost one muddy as Kallie was netting it ! lost some good fish as well....

Its good to be back on the vaal !!!!!

Yes they do! Sunday I landed my first fish on dry in a very clear rapid. There was about 5/6 in and above the rapid and they where taking things on and in the water. Was amazing to see how the fish feed and then to see how they get chased away by a plonker wading right through the water I was drifting my flies in.

There seems to be a lot more Carp at Silverstrome than other venues down to Parys . Saw couple of big boys myself yesterday , the ones tail that came out look like a Windsurfer Sail MASSIVE !!!

It, however, does not prevent you from losing fly boxes...

Kent the water is mostly murky and you cant see where you are walking in the water. The rocks are slippery as well so you need the third leg for stability.
