Doc, Rory, Marlon and myself fished Eastco this morning and once again we had the entire river to ourselves.

Fishing was hard to say the least, and after 5 hours, only 3 fish were landed.

Doc started things of with a yellow of 2.2 kgs that gave him a good run for his money.
We then all headed upstream to fish near the willows, and Rory landed a beaut of a 2kg yellow, followed by another just under a kg.

Seems I have to wait to break in my new setup.

Huge thanks to Doc for the ride and Rory for the company.

It was a lekker morning at Eastco with great fishing companions like Homes said tough fishing.
I was a bit slow getting to the other side  of the small island to get a pic of Rory's fish  .

Rory was nice enough to help me land this yellow and take a picture :tkx:  my new pb yellow.

Thanks for a super morning chasps! That spot might not produce fish every second cast, but the awesome placidness, and varying types of fishing water always make for a good outing. This was Marlon's first ever trip to fish the Vaal and hats off to him for not ending up doing the shuffle. Marlon your time will come!! Viz was super, and the fish were all taken in the deeper runs, flies that produced for me were the "Bling Bling" control fly, and a flashback squirrel nymph.
