Major Elf Smash this morn , before sunrise , WE must have landed and released  about 40 plus size couple was in the 40 cm to 47 cm  range and the rest was 35 cm averaged fish , very good to see to no undersized fish when they come on the bite .  It was a lot of fun , as me and my dad , had the whole place to our selves , and we fished the light sticks .

Some nice weather moving in , and the ocean has great colour . Very light wind , stl SE .

LETS GO .

(clap) Lekker, Lenny. It is awesome when those sizes come on the bite and there are no idiots around to chase them away or cast over your line.

YEP 52.9 kgs , Live mullets As always , ?I know the toppie in the sTriped shirt .
I just want to make it clear to everybody that the past week or so before this catch the water was Cold , very clear and flat , and the wrond wind too . Comes to show they come out any day ,any time .

Theres been a a couple of large fish over 35 kgs landed the past week or so .

UPDATE

Easterly is back , and it seems we might have some fishing happening for Easter , I am pretty sure the Elf will show .
I am extremely bored , with my current efforts , and lack of good spots , it must be  the winter creeping up on us .
Theres been kobs and Belman on the Plaat the past couple of days .
I know we will still be in the Brasse en Baardman for sure during the winter .   And we do have a few spots that open for them ...

Lekker Lenny, don't eat all your bait, go fish my friend. The other day I ordered take-away and I think the lady was not a fisher woman because when I asked for "chokka and chips" she gave me a real funny look.  :hehe:

Fishing has been on and off , and to say the least not very good .

Most of the fish are coming out WEst of the Light house , to die damme . Some big big rags have been landed , and if the bags are there , theres Kob too , and generally the water must have cooled down . I was building a gate with my dad , so I havent been around alot .
I got 2 Kolsterte last week , released . I fished worm and Prawn , but you have to be quik as theres loads of Streepies / small das / Stumps chowing the soft baits fast .

Haha walt good to know they are still around!

Thanks lenny...got mates that fish pearly beach comps...still some good fish there. ..some nice kob as well. Struis with all its versatility is sometimes challenging for me...got some favourite spots but with a little one dont get to fish much so its more hit and miss these days.

coming up next week though so lets hope conditions improve. Going to put some effort in and hopefully get a fish or 2!
