So I thought a list of good spinning spots both in SA and abroad would be a good idea. Perhaps if you have fished the spot people could add what makes the spot so great and any special species you may encounter. Such as couta or a good spot for kingies etc.
Good idea!I think some good KZN South Coast spots that should be included are :Stiebel Point - Umzumbe - Great spinning from a rocky point into deep water for all kinds of gamefish including blacktip kingies, yellowtail kingies, garrick, snoek, shad and even the odd coutaSandspit - Port Shepstone - Excellent spinning over sandbanks and gullies for garrick (September/October), shad, kob on dropshot, kingies and even that beaut 17kg tunny that was caught there a few weeks back!Splash Rock - Port Edward - great access to deep water and all kinds of gamefish including garrick, kingies (big GT's caught there every year), shad and every now and then a couta off the bricks
If you believe Kumz....It's Virgin Active Sunninghill.....
