Had two days on the water on Tycoon off Richards Bay with awesome blue water pushing in over the 50m line and improving every day. Went deep on the first day and found good flying fish and birds on the 1000m line where we landed a 25kg Dorado and a 65 kg Yellowfin. Had a marlin in the spread but no strike.Second day we went deep again looking for some more fish for the pot and hooked a bus Yellowfin that spooled the 130lb. Unfortunately the hooks pulled close to the boat after a very strong fight on solid drag. Didnt see the fish but it had to be in the 80 -100kg class judging by the fight. We only did a half day which didnt leave much time out there but there are certainly some quality fish out there. The boat Madness dropped two marlin on Friday and released one on the inside on Saturday so the season is off and running very nicely and should only improve with each day this current establishes itself!Tite lines all!
