Hi John how necessary is a spare engine on a small mono with a 60 on the back? Will there be hassles with the authorities if I dont have one. Thanks

ThanksJohn F, Is 100% correct, in more than 25yrs + going about in Moz, I have often seen single outboards on local & foreign registered boats in Moz, and never heard of them NOT passing the inspections, however I am not a fan of single outboard boats for sea fishing - So I guess you will not have any problems. Just for example lots of them 'Banana Boats" running about Inhaca with them 40hp Enduro Yamaha outboards, and they do bay crossings to Maputo, acting as "transporters" or taking out okes for spearfishing / snorkelling / fishing - likewise, you will find the same practice at Inhambane and further up North. *Also seen loads of single outboard "rubber ducks" at spots like Tofo & Barra... so don't stress
