John F's DIY: Mini billfish dehooker II
« on: March 08, 2014, 10:04:42 AM »
Some time ago I made a dehooker with an old hand pump shaft.

It required constant maintenance as it rusted copiously. Here is a stainless steel one.

It's about 45 cm long.

Little trick :hehe:

The s/s rod had a thread. I used a nut and then inserted some iron putty to fill it and make it nice and sturdy.
