Hi guys I'm new here. I wana go to Tago at da vaal dam. Does any1 hav any info for me pls. Directions, conditions, prices, etc.

No problem, glad to help. Between 5 of us we caught about 40 carp (Biggest 4kgs) 15 Barbel (Biggest 14kgs) and a total of about 60 muddies and yellows... Its a lovely spot, you can have fun with small carp, yellows, muddies and barbel all day if you throw just in front, you need to wade or get a boat to drop baits for bigger carp and barbel

best baits were the grass carp heads, so keep any grass carp you catch, everyone got chowed by a good size barbel. And carp, plain floatie with sweet or banana dough backing worked well.

Its good all year round, the carp and barbel would of finished spawning by now so the next few months should be good fishing.

not as far as i know but the road is usually in good condition or at least it was the last time i was there

Ok thanx. So I'm going wid with a 335 bmw. So u understand y I'm concerned. I'm frm lenasia, hw many hours drive is it 2 TAGO? Sori 4 al da questions,

well from boksburg we do it in a hour and a half comfortably the dirt road should be fine for your beemer just take it easy the road when you turn left into tago is a little dodgey but doable

and dont forget the pink sweets and honey glow and there mosnter

swimming in those waters so get some platties day old chicks etc
