My brothers at our place just north of coffee bay had 11-12 deg. lots of fish washing up and a boat at sea said lots of stunned fish floating on the surface. mainly tropical species it semed, incl fire fish, all sorts of angel fish and surgeons etc.
Around what sort of temp would that have been Kent??
I'm not an expert but as far as I know the water temp around Eastern Cape is mainly influenced by the wind direction. East brings cold water and West will warm up the water. We had a week or more of fairly persistent Easterly so that is probably why !
Anyone have an explanation for this crazy cold water? Really strange conditions!
Thanks Kent, sounds like a good weekend for reef fish like you said!
