 :shk What the heck! It seems like I have a different strain of TA. I went to the hardware store to buy something and I forgot what it was so I bought a couple of nuts and bolts then I forgot where I wanted to use them. If I could just remember where the tackle shop is I would have had a better day. Am I getting old or am I just retarded? OK, don't answer that.  :blush: :hyst: :hyst:

No need for some nuts and bolts now, but I go to a variety of shops all the time, even with the wife, i.e. cake supply, linen, hardware, and other non-fishing related stores, but I always end up going home with something that is either directly related to fishing or used in something related to fishing, even bolts and nuts!

Well my Legend 45 was stolen end August along with some tackle  swr swr swr which was duly replaced with some brand new Shimano Saragossa's and Assassin jigging  :happ: :happ: :happ: rods, and of course a new Toyota 2.8.  :geet :geet

I also had to buy this rod..(2nd hand but basically new..) :rck" Major craft First cast and got the Kanata ayu 160 30G lure with it... :clwn I can't seem to edit my pics on photobucket,so sorry for posting in drips and drabs.. :dunno:

Been a while, but been a scary while nonetheless.


It all started with losing around 5 cranks in early Jan due to murky water, wind, unstable trolling capabilities and a not so effective lure retriever and naturally not re-tying regularly when fishing rockpiles.


I needed new cranks!


So I bought 43, ranging from Rapala DT 16’s and 20’s to Strike King 5 and 6 XD’s. Total cost R4397.


Then I flew to West Africa for two weeks, was back a week when I flew to Canada for another two weeks and came back with a Minn Kota Ulterra 80lb 24v trolling motor, a Humminbird Ethernet switch a proper lure retriever and some more cranks. Total cost R28k, which was a real bargain as the same motor here, goes for R58k (even if I include the excess baggage and VAT paid) I still saved R32k on the troll motor alone!


Whoops, why can’t I just have the normal slip ups every now and then like most guys here, why is mine so huge and seemingly frequent?  :cnfzd

That might be, but I think its because (I for one) are a bit weary of posting in case somebody reports to the wife........

Had somebody returning to SA from the US of A and well, he brought through two suitcases of necessities.  :hnthnt:
