Oh and apparently I bought a boat rod-buckle with retractable strap too, think I wanted to install that on the right fore gunnel, maybe this week, will just first have to see about the rod tips vs the trawl motor cable and/or the cockpit if I place their butts towards the bow? :dunno:

:shk agreed , Henk is about six light years ahead of me  at this stage , some nice goodies there Henk , but Bass Pro will do that to a person , they got some awesome stuff and huge range ... anyone that says they can just pop in there and browse without leaving with a trailer full of tackle, needs medical help and fast ... :hyst: :hyst:

 :rotfl , should have seen me haul all that stuff from the shop to the train station, then from Grand Central another three blocks to the hotel in -4 deg weather! Was seriously kaput when I got to the room and sweating like we did in Dec up here in GP!


So, as mentioned, Bass Pro was outta stock on the Hydrowave, BUT then I found a site tonight that claims to be a Warehouse of Tackle :hnthnt:  and they have stock, what's worse is that they also have stock of the three 1000yd spools of Fluro I was looking for and much worse they also have Rapala DT 20's and what's even worse than all of this, is they will deliver 4 days after PayPal did its thing @ a cost of only 87 USD via UPS.


Now seeing as they estimate delivery on Thursday and I might leave on Friday for a comp on Saturday, still need to sort out some logistics etc, that might mean that there a possibility of me missing the delivery, so Thursday PayPal will get a transaction and then hopefully early next week I can add yet another power cable to the accessory battery in the anchor locker and see how to arrange the deep cranks so their siblings could also have some space :shk perhaps then you guys could call me a tackle slut or just a slut doesn't matter really :hyst:

And I still need three baitcasters, the left hand drive Abu's I had, well I couldn't get my left hand to conform to the reeling action and I have sold them for R50 less than what I paid for each of them, so at least the replacement RH sided reels shouldn't be that much unless they're above entry level quantums, which I suspect they'll be knowing myself :cnfzd

That is so true, it's not even funny :blush: , but seriously  :toppie: isn't that the case with most things in life? :hnthnt: :creep: :dunno:  At worst if I now end up blanking, then it's me who doesn't know how to use the tackle, no wait that's not right, then there is no fish in the water I was fishing! :bow:

Bliksem'd off the wagon pretty badly... Been on eBay over the last 2 months... Got a heads up that my sister was coming out from the States so I had a bunch of stuff sent to her (lot's cheaper than sending direct to SA) and she had to come thru customs with some serious contraband  :blush:

Spent the weekend in Nelspruit with the family. Stopped at Solly's to drop peterblace's top popping rod section (to fix the tip) and got a couple of rappies and some terminal tackle.

Never had such shopping experience.... the wife kept following me as I picked the rappies, piano wire, jerrycan caps and ... 3 kiddies combos (for my own safety :hehe: ). It was very quick and still can't believe I'm still alive... think she will make a move tonight...
