Adventures in Musandam aboard Al Sayyed
« on: May 02, 2012, 07:40:44 PM »
Hi chaps been a while since I've had anything to say so I thought I’d give a report on what’s been coming out of the Musandam lately aboard Al Sayyad. Although the season got off to a later start than usual we are currently in the thick of things with some good size GT’s coming out. The bigger fish have been really aggressive and in great physical condition and appear to be entering their spawning period obviously making up for lost time!

When it comes to lure choice both poppers and stick baits are proving effective in the different locations the GT’s congregate in, with the bigger sizes generally proving the most effective. We’ve also been having fun with the jigs when conditions are right catching GT’s, Amberjack and Kingfish and the odd steam train that we have been unable to stop!

We’ve had a couple of monster fish take lures but have yet to put one on the boat leaving more than a few anglers swearing revenged and a few more just swearing at everything in general but these are the moments that keep us coming back for more punishment!

Heres wishing you sunny skies, flat seas and monster Geet’s
Till next time

Insane stuff Cam, you're a lucky dude living the dream.

Was the Couta taken on a stick bait?

Have you fished with any of the Penn Torque's yet?
Any pieces of equipment (besides your Carpenter) that you've been impressed with?

Ha Ha no comment on the pen Tourques
Still loving my carpenter and Stellas recently added a Hot's 711 MH which is also an amazing rod I'll be pairing it with a stella 10K when the pocket money allows. I'll also be getting a Racepoint 250 from Sami at Saltywater Tackle soon which I'm looking forward to.

Hi Greg the one is a tropical and the other a Amberjack the photos got distorted so it looks slightly suspect.
