We had a thread going a while back where members could state what their Jobs/Careers were. Thought we would get this one going again...

Better to support a UA Mate than one from the Yellow Pages, right!?

So, all Members can state here what they do for a living...

Members with 50 posts and more can leave their 'Business Cards' - Company name, Contact details etc... call it free advertizing for those who contribute to the forum!

I head up a division in South Africa of an Austrian company involved in boilers in the pulp and paper industry.
My business area is technical support, trouble shooting, maintenance planning and running maintenance projects on boilers and their auxiliary equipment.
I have worked with boilers from stoker fired to the PF fired beasties on the Eskom power stations for 30 years, travelled extensively in Africa, not many sugar mills that I haven't been to, so been around a while

Marine Biologist here. Co-founded and lead a small research/advocacy NGO (CTV; www.ctv.org.mz). We do advocacy, monitoring, research and training on coastal/marine ecosystems/species, environmental legislation, local communities land rights and tenure.

We specialise on coral reefs and marine turtles, but we also work on mangroves, sandy beaches, seagrass beds. Biodiversity surveys, status assessments, marine-based tourism, recreational fishing, community-based conservation and exploitation of resources are also some issues that we deal with. We also do technical components of EIAs. We provide technical and scientific support to a number of MPAs in Mozambique.

I'm in the LPGas and NH3 industry.

I lecture design software: AutoCAD, Revit, InDesign, Illustrator etc at a private college during the day to pay the bills. I'm a graphic designer by trade and do freelance graphic design work by night for pocket money. I specialise in artwork for large format printing, taxi's busses, billboards etc and especially in prepress work for production.
