Quote from: FFF on October 05, 2015, 09:08:42 AMI launched on sat morning. Ran to the barge and got some nice mackerel for bait. Tried off the barge and cassons but the shad were a problem and stealing our baits. Ran out to the deep off umhlanga and tried for a few bottoms. Were quite a few small fish around. Moved into the shallower marks and got a triple up only to have 2 of the fish eaten by the boat, paying tax again. My crew member, a friend of Kierans dad, was very green as the sea was very lumpy with the NE. Put out the rapalas and pulled them back to the club with no enquiries. Interesting is the water on the 70m is 22.9 and at No1 is only 22.1. We used 40 litres of petrol. I have 2 x 50hp Yamahas. We normally use just under 2 tanks per trip. I would say we did about 40km. Soon Soon

Soon Soon Big D next time you fish you will get sea sick as its been so long.
Well the weather does not seem to be playing fair for a while now and does not look much better soon. There was a gap yesterday afternoon and did a quick fish.Got couple live baits and swam them. Managed a small yellowtail. The friend I was fishing with lost 2 at the boat. The water was 23.4 yesterday so think as soon as we get a decent gap there should be fish around.
Now that i'm not with DSBC anymore, its a long run to the harbour mouth. So a quick 1 hour trip out is not worth my while anymore. As a result i havent been out for ages, with this lousy weather we have been having. I pray the wind dies down soon. I'll be on leave from 11 December to 15 January. Plan on fishing as much as possible
Dorado came out off Durbs on Friday
So anyone fish today, sea was perfect, Ant fished, i could not join as i had other commitments, they got their first of the season. Sure he will post a report
