Its good to see the snoek have arrived in large numbers, Saturday was the best action I have seen in years and if you didn't get a fish then rather take up stamp collecting. ...................sadly some guys are just plain stupid with the amount of fish they take, I know of a boat with 3 anglers that took 30 - simple GREED!! (even if a guy wanted to cover his petrol one or two fish at R40/kg would cover it) - believe me these guys are not poor and are not giving the fish to the poor. Anyway we ended up with 5 and released 1 taking 4 (I fed 22 people with 3 of them!!) all within an hour!! We then tried AGAIN for couta - NADA from what I hear they are thick up at Richards Bay at the moment.......for some reason they failed to come this side but we can't complain........another Durban winters day

Am new to fishing for Natal Snoek. Big thanks to Dugongboy...have followed your snoek trace to a T...and caught well on both Saturday and Monday mornings. Really appreciate you sharing your knowledge. You have enabled my 14 year old son to become passionate about off-shore fishing. I am told that the snoek are only here for another month or so...then keen to see if the garrick arrive.
Thinking of giving these snoek a bash tomorrow... never had much success though.
