We launched early Sundaymorning. got bait and headed for the ships.
The sea was so flat and the water was blue but the temp was only around 22deg.

At the first ship we fished i had a shoal of about 20 dorries hangging around the boat, not big around the 3-4kg mark, but for the life of us we ouldnt get them to eat! fresh redeye, live baits plugs spoons the works! Nothing.

We then headed out pulling knoas past umdloti towards the fads, found one fad but was empty. worked our way back to the flats, drifted with livies but nothing!

East started pumping at about 10, so we called it a day!

Met up with a couple of the old banters, who did super well on the big tunny again!

Thanks for the update Maganything. I wanted to cry when I saw the flat seas. Was hooked up to go but canceled when I woke up at 3:30. Weather predictions I use got it all wrong #@#@. I must say that I feel a bit better now for not launching. Not a lot of fish caught on such a beautiful day. It his however better to catch nothing than sitting at home sulking!!!

Hi Umpa lumpa, the binnelanders will gladly take all the bad weather all year long , just as long as the weather is good down at your coastal folk , especially when we come down there to fish , please send that weather up here

fished the wreck off port Edward on Saturday morning, launched at first light and wasn't long before there were 10 boats all on the wreck. everyone all worked up about the yellowtail that were running wild the week before. Not that day sadly. moved off to a few other marks and got some nice bottoms, totalled 15 species I think. kept a few soldiers and Englishman for the pan. as the morning went on the sea flattened out beautifully. beached at around 1, some of the boats got a bunch of  :yft: just before beaching. heard of some good poensies that were caught aswell

Anyone fish this weekend?

We launched sat.
Ran to tongaat on the 80m - 100m line, no luck pulling lures, drifting and working the ships..
Never saw too many fish come out, but saw FFF got a nice tunny!
Also saw someone got a sailie today!

We haven't had much luck of late, kinda bumming me out a little! Haha

Boat was sorted and hitched then the dhit hit the fan at work so didn't fish, not many fish came out, but I would rather have been on the water than sorting out SHEQ files

Well Umpa Lumpa and myself decided to do a quick trip sat morning. Umpa Lumpa had another function he had to be at by 12 so i convinced him to do a quick trip.

We launched at 03:45 (Having night rating does help) and had the plan to head to the ships. We struggled to get bait by the piers so we headed to the barge. Umpa got us a few baits quite quickly so while he was busy i stuck out a live bait. Was not in the water 5 minutes and we got a :sreel: . Umpa got the rod and started fighting. The fish had given quite a good first run so knew it was something decent. He landed a decent about 8kg bonnie. While fighting it other boats started arriving and almost rode his line off twice. Yes i did swear them.
With all these other boats arriving we went out to the ships.

First ship we tried we got nothing. Headed to the next ship hoping to get our first Dorrie of the season. Pitched a live bait out on the small stick with a 5000 coffee gringer. I watched as the line started heading off to the right and bang we were on. I then realised that this was no Dorrie. It took off. Umpa Lumpa cleared his line and moved us away from the ship. After a really good fight were the arms started talking to me a bit we spotted the number plate a good YFT. Still had quite a bit to do with the small stick to get it to the boat but eventually we did. What a nice fish on the small stick.
