I was out on Sunday.. Water was green and ranged fro 22 to 23 Deg.. fishing was terrible not much came out from Durbs.. I worked about 8 or 9 of the Wrecks from Coopers to Glenashly but only had a couple of good pulls.. seamed to be harassed by Sand Soldiers! We did spot a Nice Hammer head on the surface off the bluff and pitched a sardine at it for a bit of fun on a travella  6 ft Medium with a 4000 reel and 30 lb braid.. was good fun for about 30 min.. when we landed it we found it had a hook through the skin that covers the eye..WAS NOT OUR HOOK.. so we managed to get it on the boat removed our Circle hook and managed to flatted the Barb of the hook in the Eye and Remove it safely.. had a couple of Pic and released her to to fight another day.. she was not to bothered by being handled as she hung around the boat for a bit and we threw a few Sandies in the water which she ate so it all ended well for her!

Really hope the weather forecast improves for this weekend, looks like there might be a gap on Sunday only.

The way the weather has been for the last month think the best bet is to wait till the day before to make a call.
Was thinking about doing a night session tonight but i see the current is flying again.

The weather has been so terrible for the last month we have only been out twice. Starting to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Took Kieran out for his first night trip on Friday. He had a great time other than the fishing was hard with the current flying.

Is it still a reverse current FFF??

Current on Fri was just S to N but flying. Wasting sinkers we were moving so fast.

Yip still reverse.......will be even worse after yesterdays 30kt south and we still got some more of those coming.
Guys must be very careful being caught out deep and north in that current if the NE comes up(wind over tide) - one of the most dangerous conditions off our coast, no matter what size boat you are in!!

Hopefully the weather will be good for Sunday as I need to get out, been far too long.
A bad days fishing is better than sitting at home moping.
