How was the fishing today boy's  :dunno:

Well sat was the day to fish. Had Kierans R&S comp at winkle so had to fish Sunday.
Umpa Lumpa, Kieran and i Launched at first light and headed to get bait round the corner. The sea was on its head. We had planned to do bottoms south. We managed to pick up some mackerel's so had good bait. Some of the biggest macks i have ever seen. Couple were in the 40cm range.

Change of plan and headed north. Tried a couple of the new spots but nothing.
Kieran was getting bored so decided to head to the bait marks and let him catch some shad. Put out a live bait and Kieran and Umpa Lumpa started getting some nice shad.

Eventually the live bait was picked up and Umpa lumpa had his turn for a Decent fish. We chased it for a long way to try get away from the dreaded taxman. Umpa asking can i start fighting yet me telling no just wait. Eventually i decided we were far enough away and Umpa started his work out. He did very well and managed to get the fish to the boat as quick as he could. I gaffed it and on the boat before the usual taxman arrived. So a big smile as can be seen in the photo.

Well done Umpa Lumpa.

:hyst: :hyst: Well good ol Fritz convinced me to jump on the "crotch rocket" on Sunday to go try for some yellow fin. Was a good morning out but with the SW pumping it is not very accommodating while sitting on that thing and nowhere to hide and getting a wet ass. Unfortunately the fish didn't join our party but fun was had. I must admit the breakfast and beers afterwards were great.(only got home after 14h00)
Oh and by the way "I will not be converting"  To Fritz  :udman: and we will be trying for Garrick :hehe: :hehe:

Good To see you always make the time to take the kids fishing. Think we shall put them on the fish Thursday.
