ISSSHHH Umpa Lumpa 100% correct. It was me who lost a very big Tuna on my anchor line !!! Must have been 25 kg. Saw it right next to me "nearly on the gaff" and then onto anchor line when panic set in. I fish from an aqua quad so only one up. I nearly gave the rod to Umpa but realised that would not be a sporty gesture. Lessons learned. This was this first time in years that I have anchored and not even thinking about a floater to release the anchor. Took all my old bait from the fridge and made a very gig chum line on anchor and was rewarded with a big fish only to lose it. After that I hooked onto another two tunas - only to pull the lines near the boat #@#$ (still sulking) . My shimano drag was never tested like this before. Very frustrating and a big lesson going forward. Will next time "chase" to see if I can land a big tuna. I will be back.

Can I order a few from you and I'll pay you for them.I need the ones that catch fish please, I'll be down next month to test them. My boat is rusting here in JHB and needs some sea water to sort it out . Come down and I will come with you Now that's a mighty fine plan mate, I'll keep you posted as to when I'll get down there.

Alfu, think we need to meet up for a cold drink some time,
Alfu so you came right when we spotted the dolphins?/Chris those snoek traces look good bud, you break into Erics garage? LOL
Thanks Gents - will meet up some time when at the club. Always amazed to see CLS getting lucky with the snoek when others are battling especially on the spoons in the danger zone (good kipper) . I am closely following all tips to get as much info as possible. Still a lot to learn. Got some good pointers from Fritz as well on Saturday. Sad that he is not active on these forums - what a nice chap and always willing to share his knowledge.
Yea boet, like you. Have you been to the sea yet?
Come now, you got to get your A into G.
