Did you catch any decent sizes?

we fished greenpoint for an hour and half late afternoon - caught 6 in about 10 minutes - then they went off as fast as they had come - only one was size - rest small

a little off topic, or is it.

yes interesting observation of spoons etc.

we normally catch shad at st lucia using s bend spoons.
but interesting, is with our last trip at st lucia, the shad wanted nothing other then the old trusted "toby"

the hit ration between the toby and normal s-bend was unbelieveable.
seems like the shad wanted bigger "bait".
it did not matter what size s bend we used, the toby came up trumps.

the shad was so wild at 1 stage, that if you retrieved the spoon on top of the water, like a plug, then shad would smash the spoon breeching.

nature, will we ever stop learning?
