I'm just querying about the limit of fish and prawns that can be brought back into South Africa from the Komati border.  Is it still 6kgs in total and is it 6kgs per person or 6kgs per car?

Exchange rates in Maputo are ca. R1 = 3.80 Mt. Should vary in other locations.

Fees in Ponta (got the info this morning from the Reserve Manager):

Navigation license: 800.00 Mt / boat
"Boarding" fee: 200.00 Mt / angler
Fishing license: 400.00 Mt/ angler (valid 30 days)

I have planned a trip down to Ponta at the end of April, to do some Fishing off the Ski-Boat.
As per the Fees quoted above, from 2013, can anybody possibly give an update as to what the Current Fees are??

It's half the price if you buy it Monday to Friday. Weekends you pay double.Not sure how much it is.

Apparently you require a permit to fish off the beach however the "inscrutable one" ( you'll see what I mean when you meet him) at Maritimo in Ponta has told me for three years running that it's not required. Last time was Feb this year. My sons paid around R220 for the Jetskis. Will see if he's got the slips tonight. A major plus was the beach access through the camping ground at Ponta is no longer charged for. You still pay at Malongane though.

Chances are... you will not be allowed to bring in a bow + arrows into Moz for starters....
