I hope things improve, big ground swell has moved in today but things are looking like settling next week after a weekend of westerlies?? The couta fishing has been very so so with big Zambis spoiling a lot of catches, looked at the NPB catch report for last weekend and it was dismal to say the least but some boats did well during the week getting 5-8 fish up north. Biggest uncomfirmed was a 22kg off Peace Cottage last week??
The excellent snoek run has also slowed down, a mate of mine blanked 2 days in a row and on the 3rd day got 4 (in the week) Reports of more than usual wahoo in the cleaner/warm water close in??
I will scratch around for info over the next week and post it (if any) on Wedensday/Thursday.
Can you make it Wednesday please? Thursday most will be prepping.... :hehe:

IMO there is only one area to fish and I would persevere there for both days (conditions permitting)........ will sell only if I don't fish!!   Hehhehhehheh!!!

Come on how about some hints so we can see if we are on the right track? i do not want to venture a guess and perhaps spoil it.

No one can pin-point one specific area.
32kg came out up North a couple weeks ago 200m from shore.
35kg during the Winkle fishing ski comp down South 2 weeks ago , deep.
Seen photos of 25kg other day up North and then a mate caught one in Pennington last week in the mid 20's.

Luck on the day will determine who get's the big one.

GOT TO BE IN IT, TO WIN IT!!

 :hyst:
.....I just hope the "Go Fish With Lowrance" guys are not entered in the comp!
You all know how the F1 driver, the salesman and the lady are able to introduce themselves, catch a fish, take photos, release it and make a sales pitch - ALL IN 4,55 minutes.
Bloody comp will be over before the starters flare hits the water behind Vetch's Reef.

Quite right Tim but to you gotto narrow it down to increase chances, you can't be north and south at the same time so have to make an educated decision or take a chance........north has far outproduced south in these comps over the years so that decision should be fairly easy?....??.......that said a few years ago we got some nice fish south??? looking at the conditions just before the comp we made a decision and it paid off with some good fish but the winning fish was still caught up north...? I believe that luck only plays about a 30-40% chance.................but we gotto remember,  this is fishing..........not catching!!

And we are in it to win it! Bwahahaha!!!

That awesome (ish) boat is still up for grabs - all reasonable offers will be considered! So even you Vaalies have a chance to "tow that boat home"!

I hope the second prize is a tow vehicle. It's the only way us Vaalies will get the first prize back in Gauteng... :hnthnt:

Brilliantly... We had a meeting the other day and we think that we may possible need some hooks and have a meeting! Nico was talking very fast though and unfortunately I forgot what else we discussed because by this stage of the meeting my beer cooler was getting empty and nothing else seemed to matter any more.

Sounds like you have it all sorted then. When can I attend these meetings? Will we have few of these meetings before Port Edward?   :hnthnt:
