OK, so Jan is sorting his wurms, I believe his secret pap is kooked. My gear is all raedy, just to pack the van later, then tomorrow it's the dop and breakfast ( err, more dop  w;k ) and off we go.
I told Susan that I'll be there around 06:00, even though she only normally opens at 07:00. :crzy :crzy

See you all there. fshg fshg fshg
If we caught fish on every trip, it would be called " Catching". We don't, and that's why it's called "Fishing".

Yep! ...thanx for a great day! ... wish I had some of those boeries and steak rolls for leftovers ...would've gone down NICELY this morning again!  :hnthnt:
I was not sure why everyone left at lunctime though ....I thought we're gonna do an afternoon session as well??
ANYWAY ...I stayed on till around 4:15pm, and got my first baber on fly as well (although it was the smallest baber I've ever seen)
So for the day, I caught at least 3 species .... muddy, yellow and baber ...
I've only got a photo of the yellow and baber, but Monster can at least testify for my muddy ...  w;k
I see the yellow at Eastco is also injured ... when you enlarge the photo, you can see the damage to it's back dorsal fin .. it even left some blood on my arm.. it might have been from the floods, but I though fish heels MUCH quicker than that???? ...strange ...

Thanks to everyone who made the trip. After having organised quite a few trips for Flytalk, all I can say is  :uarocks  :uarocks.
Everyone pitched, and although the fishing was not easy, I believe at least 80% of those there at least hooked a fish. :happ:
Thanks to everyone for a great day.  (clap) (clap)

We should do it again. w;k w;k

@ Craig, your yellow might have gotten away, but i watched you fight it, that chuffed look on your face said it all
The next one won't get away that easily

Thanks to each and everyone that made it out to Eastco on Saturday. Was fun putting names to faces. Darren thanks for those Boeries and Steak Rolls. I was so stuffed that I didn't even want something to eat Saturday night.

My mate Daryl asked me if you guys were a group of friends or something? I replied that we are all from a forum. He could not believe his ears. He was pleasantly surprised. So a big hands up to you all!!! w;k :resp:

Good Morning Chaps,

Rory, Koos, Daryl, Herman, Darren, THANK YOU for the input and the willingness to teach the newbies and share the little things that will help with the big catches.

Guys I learnt a ton on saturday and now i feel a little more equipped and confident the next time I'm on the river, you guys made it look easy and kept it simple without confusing us new okes.

Was great meeting you guys and forming new fishing friendships, now that we started lets endeavour to keep the ULTIMATE FRESHWATER SOCIALS coming.

Well done to all you manage to get some fish in hard conditions, esp Craig, from what i saw on saturday I think you've done this before, LOL, WEL DONE MATE.

Darren those boeries and steaks are a sin brother but I forgive you, they were the best, THANKS GUYS -  :appr:

Thanks for an awesome day guys, big ups to all the guys that pitched. The fishing was really really tough so hats off to all the guys that managed to catch some fish. Harold, you the man!!! The vis in the water was about 5 -10cm and I reckon the fish are still shell shocked after the floods! A big thank you to the more experienced guys who were prepared to spend some time with the newbies, showing them the ropes - much appreciated.  :resp:

I'll post some pics tonight. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics of the "Vaal Shuffles" Thanks Darren the braaimaster, and Gavin for the "Breakfast".

 :uarocks :uarocks :uarocks

So when we going again????
