Hi guys, if the yellows are slow tomorrow can I try targetting the cats with the same 6/7 weight rod or do I need a heavier rated rod?

That is my plan of action,  i spoke with Rory, if i don't come right with the yellows, i will try for the catfish on fly as well, failing that i am taking my bass rod with

Nothing wrong with the Muddies. Those fish fight like bulldogs, very tough and highly underrated! :resp:

Quick question ...
From the north on the N1 ... which is the best route ... past silwerstrome, then past Eendekuil and then onto the R500? ...
Or keep on straight with the N1, to the Parys turnoff, then at Parys take the R500??

You said it, not to detract from the days fly fishing adventure,  i know there are some big barbel in there at the moment, the 7ft flick stick is a must, but i am thinking if there is a real big one, perhaps the berkley air 9ft XH  :dunno:

Taking some chicken livers with just in case
