Plenty big swells for the next 10 days, strong frontal system passed way south and the cyclone expected to have an influence on the swell height next week

memorable day for marlin fishing in Maputo
total number of releases to be confirmed...but from what we spoke with the other skippers it was epic with plenty of strikes all day

aboard 4play we had 19 strikes...we sat 12 times in the fighting chair...but we were only able to release 3 blue marlin
insane crazy action...and all fish being too aggressive with striking and doing aerial show
we hand feed them the lures...we played like pitch baiting with the lures
everyone was stating the same..."we have never seen such action"

19 strikes on one trip! Unbelievable!

That sounds crazy.

Marlin fishing often is just a boat ride.....ask me.

19 strikes....I wish I was there!
Either I am fishing or dreaming of fishing!

total tally for the day...13 boats...33 released marlin
one of Nana's marlin was taxed next to the boat by a massive oceanic white tip...2 bites...one of Nana's crew members tried to push the shark away with the gaff...wrong move...gaffed the shark by accident and nearly got pulled overboard (estimated #400 marlin)

heard LHooker apparently was tail wrapped

it is Clube Marítimo's comp...runs monthly until May (I believe)
dates are a bit erratic as if weather doesn't permit they postpone the date...and as mentioned above...only whatsapp group members will know when that leg will occur...it's a joke but indeed that's what happened last weekend
