Welcome.
Transkei is a big place and areas vary. Some are excellent foir Kob, others, not so much.
July is usually good time for Kob though.
If the place has big river mouths, then Old style rapalas work well on the pushing tide. However, the dropshot with soft plastics have taken over. Far cheaper than rapalas, more versatile as they can be used in rivers, beaches and off rocks as dont snag as much.
Garrick (leerie) also come on around that time, so some surface plugs, (chisel and pencil) also a good plan, as will shad (tailor), and for these, sardine and spoons.
scratching for bream etc also good in the winter months.
