Fishing in St Lucia and Cape Vidal
« on: August 26, 2019, 10:48:26 PM »
Good Evening Guys,

Heading down to St Luica this coming weekend, what sort of fish should i be targeting?
looking to only spin with lures.
I know there will be Shad on the bite, is there any other fish i could target?

What lures would you recommend?

Thanking you guys in advance.

Have a great evening!

Hi Colin.
Just for clarity.....did the closed season for shad also change with the announcement of the new MPA's which came into effect on 1 August ?

Closed season for shad is from 1 October until 30 November if I'm not mistaken?
Fishing all day, everyday is still not enough fishing

The largespot pompano devour slow pitch jigging spoons there. A really fun experience. 15 - 40 g spoons work really well there. If sea is flat you can also get snoek of the beach there on spoons.

Shad are thick at Vidal. Ballies and Babes is on this weekend, so will be quite busy. IE. Dads and daughters.

Need to change that name Grumpy - you could get into trouble with either your wife or the police.
