New to Grinder fishing
« on: January 23, 2019, 03:34:34 PM »

Hi Guys

im still staring off with the grinders i have managed to find a bullseye ( excellent condition with both spools ) and a evo 1, i need to get used to the bionic finger but i feel throwing with a glove is better, i have braid as leader do i need to put mono infront of that or can it direct.

any comments on this setup?

Hi MZA

Whats an Evo 1 ?
What will you use your setup to catch?
What weight will you be casting? That bionic finger is lastig to use for spinning.
Cheers

It's a great setup! Bullseye and Evo are both top class pieces of equipment.
You can also fish a short 1m mono leader, or NOT! Whatever works for you.

So the critical thing with a mono leader is how long your drop is on the cast. The braid leader knot is outside the top guide, then if you have a 1m mono attached to that, remember that you still have to tie your trace to the mono, which will make almost 2m of drop. Personally, I fish straight to the braid leader, don't like too long drop.

will be advisable to use the napkin slide for edibles on a grinder setup? or rather just stick to multipliers for sliding
