Imz, i use the explorer rods and find them to be excellent.they are a bit long but that gives you a bit of leverage on the fish.as Umpa mentioned, i also use the woodgrain finish KP.this combo works for me.hope this helps.Shuaib Vawda

Dont mean to hijack your thread Imz but Im hoping Umpa Lumpa or another KP fundi can shed some light.When using braid on the bigger KP's, how do you keep the braid evenly spread/centered when winding up?I have a a big old school one (with the drag to keep it from spinning) but when I wind up all of the braid seems to collect on the inside wall of the reel instead of the center.Ive seen some of the durban guys have a stainless ring attached just above the rod grip but just trying to figure out the best way to do this.
