Rapala xxx rap cast

Purchased the rapala xxx rap cast 14 (52g) want to target kob and garrick in the transkei,has anyone tried this lure

Yip. they dig very well and make a lot of noise. should definitely work for kobbies and the Garrick if they feeding lower in the column.

+1 - swims well, good wobble and flash etc but it doesn't cast particularly well whatever they call it.

I would suggest  the storm lipped lures ,( one similar to the max rap  I think Long thin with three hooks )  half the price of rapala , works just aswell , and for sure cast beter .


However above mentioned will work very well for leer vis and elf , as they dont dive so deep tank max 1.5 m .




Other lures you might have a look at too is a strike pro , think its also 50 grams 14 cm , dirt cheap .


Or get yourself a couple of clones , those catch anything KOB , leerie elf . Cast like a bullet and it's lekker as its a locally made lure .
