Roosta popper fitted with 2 x 5/0 Decoy hooks and two of  the latest C-gar stickbaits fitted with 2 x 4/0 Decoy hooks. Resident no. 4  hyperwire splitrings attached to the front ends for connection to no 5 power  swiwel attached to fluorocarbon leader. Going to try these lures out at Cape  Vidal for a morning session this coming Tuesday. Feeling super excited!!

Heard some good stuff about those C-gars , granted it was in a tackle shop , but apparently they work quite well from the shore and off the boat ... :dunno:  will see if they produce anything when im next at the sea

Those C Gars look great except they seem very similar to the CID shiver sticks :dunno:

I compared both in the shop yesterday. And they do have different profiles and the way they are weighted. So I suspect they might be quite different in terms of action especially near the surface when retrieved quite fast. I will see on Tuesday how well the cast compared to the shiversticks.

Hmmm, I need to keep an eye on this, I got that same pink tiger lure, and I'm off to St Lucia on the 13th, be nice to hear how you get on with it.
