Thanks for this jball! Was all this off a boat or on the side?

Hi Shivaan, mostly off a boat. Only the Yacht Mole produced from the side.

Thanks jball. Is it on the side opposite cafe fish. Across the carpark?

we did catch from the side around pelican island.
but, its not very accessible, and not really safe.

the area around Wilsons can also be productive, but we just dont really fish there.
we cannot wait for summer. been a cold dry spell, and the garrick havent really featured as expected. (YET....... we hope)

Up in Joburg they are slightly more expensive

fishy1969 · « **Reply #34 on:** August 22, 2014, 08:41:27 AM »

I think they more expensive in Jhb because they have to be heavier as you guys have to cast further to reach the sea!

Got me a few the other day!!

Always been a fan of the original Yozuris, when they came out they were much better than anything else.

Do you have any success on those shrimp lures?

dugong · « **Reply #39 on:** August 22, 2014, 11:38:52 AM »

Gavin I have no doubt that it will work - very nice slow action with a twitch, it should be good to bounce over sandbanks in the bay - believe it or not I caught a few shad on a similar one at the Caissons when fishing for bait a few years back.
