2014 shads of North Zululand
« on: January 21, 2014, 07:28:29 PM »
This one was caught the past weekend, all of them on the Minnow, with a   super fast straight retrieve.  All fish caught are revived and   released.  As I love to catch and release and educate the public about   it.

Anyway those size shads have been coming out in quiet a few numbers along the North Zululand .... Hlobane and 9 mile have been doing very well ... I got a couple in the 55cm to 63 cm range   ...
The pictures look as if its near Maphelane ....

No problem, although it wasn't a decision but an opinion!! Don't see why he should give an exact location as to where he caught them, especially when he practices C/R.

:cgrts: on the catches, i must've missed your report and pics.

still don't get the point do you ... no reason why YOU should see the point of giving the location... no one asked you,... it would be his decision ....and fish like shad don't exactly sit and hang around in one location....

p.s  I also practice C&R ... very rarely have taken shad home...

reason I asked is I fish these grounds very often, .....was a matter of interest ....maybe take some time to think about your conversations with friends ... when they show you a great catch ..almost anyone's first questions' are where did you get it and what bait ?....

anyway cheers ...
off the topic now ....sorry ...

Once again brilliant catches ...

Oh no, I get the point, what I don’t get is when people have  been on the forum for years with minimal contribution and expect for others to  willingly share information. It’s an open forum where people can share  experiences, ideas, help others, build friendships, provide reports/feedback and of  course, opinions… no one has to ask me. The success of the forum, and what you  get out of it, is directly proportionate to what you put in….

The title of the thread should give you an idea of where he  caught it, given that shad don’t exactly sit and hang around in one location I reckon  you’re in good shape to smash them this weekend!!  :fshn:

Agreed on the excellent catches…  :shd:

Sorry for the hijack, happy to discuss by PM hotrodding...
