Just for those that are interested, water temp was 15deg, and although we saw activity nothing was caught(by us).
The bank anglers gave us a nice distraction and caught some nice carp with one weighing in at 9kg.

Thanks to Pieter and Marthin for joining me at a very windy, unpleasant and fishless day at Erina. Visibilty was around 45 cm, and there was a very unpleasant smell to the water.
Oh ya the rock snot is very evident in the shallower water. There was non however in the faster waist deep water, which may or may not have held fish, as I didn't catch any in this water, or any other water for that matter.

The water was damn cold and the wind pumping.
I think I will wait until after the first good rains before going back to the Vaal.

That said, regardless the conditions, the fishing wasn't to bad.
Between two of us we managed about 15 fish in about 1.5 m water.

Great news well done. We are hedding to Geelvis paradise on friday for a bit of a camp and some cold  :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: . Hoping to get into some nice fish.

Fly Castaway are having an Advance Smallmouth Yellowfish Workshop on Sat 21 September at Arendsnes . Could be interesting . Cost a bit WOES , but might be worth the while.
