Awesome determination to get a fish you have long been striving for  :resp: (clap) (clap)

Seems you do some serious wading, try go for something that is water tight, maybe a option that has these seals is the new Penn SpinVfisher I just got myself 2 but yet to pull anything substantial but they feel pretty solid and they have the highest drag rating out of most reels in this range and the ratio required for your application

Good day lads

Thanks so much for all this information! Every single comment is much appreciated!!Good day lads sorry for the late replies

After a whole lot of delay, Quantum SA fetched my reel after 2 weeks time(and allot of phone calls from the fishing shop I bought it from) and said the damage was caused by sand and although its under warranty I will need to replace the parts at my own expense. That argument for me is BS as the reel stripped after its first fish and 2 weeks of working for that fish

Now the good news is that Johan Wessels from Fishing Pro Shop @ Pretoria took it on his own to help me out and he gave me a new series Cabo as replacement at no extra cost. This guy is awesome! Thanks so much oom for the after sales on a product that Quantum SA don't want to help me out but you went out on a limb and gave me a brand new reel at your expense.

It must be known that Johan will always get my businessmen!

As for the choice of sticking to this reel seeing that it is replaced with the new spec at no extra cost for me I will be happy to give Quantum another go. And to see if this one will last a few big GT's

Kind regards
Henno
