Hey chaps
off to mgazana next month for a week what type of lures will be good to target kob etc fom the bricks and shore will be using a 10ft

Deon your best bet will definitely be the paddle tail dropshot lures from Macarthy. Try the goldfish colour in 5-7inch. You will normally need a decent size jighead to get the distance, lets say from 3/4oz up to 1.5oz. A lot of people also use weighted rapalas but I have never really tried that too much. You could also try throwing a sheppie bomber and winding it very slowly across the bottom :tite

The sheppie bomber is quite a heavy s bend spoon. It is made with brass and one side is chromed. Because of the weight and s bend it will sink quickly and give a lot of action at slow speeds unlike the bullet spoons which are designed to be retrieved quickly

Check out the heavier Halco Twisty spoons for surf casting, if you want distance look at the 2-3 ounce havoc lure range as well...

They're old school Kallie. You need to look around at tackle shops, hard to come by - definitely seen 1 or 2 at MIAS Woodmead.
