For those interested there was clean warm water at skipskop and a VERY large black needle nose seen ( and videoed ) on the banks. Lots of big tail caught and speared up to about 18kg and a few great frights were on hand- this is there time!!

Robert whatsapped me these pics yesterday....

We ask a simple question and that is all we wish: Are fishermen all liars? Or do only liars fish?

You won't catch every fish you try for, but don't let that discourage you, because the best fisherman who ever lived can't do it either.

Which of the charters can you guys recommend in Struisbaai for deepsea fishing?
What is the going rate?
And what can one expect to catch offshore this time of year?

Reefs, Struisbaai is almost part of Cape Agulhas, at the Southern most tip of Africa. The two towns are basically connected, about 100m apart. It has the most beautiful stretch of beach and is a fisherman's paradise. You should go there when you are in Hermanus again.

No SA fish ,Reefs should come to the Cape bash, it would be a learning experience for an experience angler.
And also to come and see how we do it in the Cape. w;k
