The water is right , the wind is right , theres loads of bait around [for those thats into crakers ]
but there tons of grass eveywhere , very thick .

I did manage a shart session yesterday but pulled a big old FAT blank ...

So , we have a bit of cru the weekend , and Katvis001 is also in town . The boys are pumping worm , and we filled up with Mozzies last night .
Wind not bad , atleast the right direction , tons of Barbel in the water . sea is flat and warm ....

Ahoy

So theres been alot happening , and things are looking very good , the only problem is that theres loads of Sea grass / weed getting washed up on the tides , this makes fishing some areas very difficult .

Another UA member Chris , is doing well after a rocky start , Hes been getting some Grunter and Steenbrs on die plaat , and seem to be fishing fit and its certaily paying off. I do suggest places where he can go [ where i Cant ] and hes been scoring .

We managed some Grunter before the rain in De mond , the surf area was also alive at de mond with decent size Kob be landed 6 to 8 kg class . This was before the rain , the river will be dead now for a couple of weeks agian , and I will not suggest missioning down there to fish in the surf .
The water is warm , and the wind right , So I might go very early and make a cast .
There was a Rumour about a sizable Elf Caught yesterday .
Barbel is hampering bait fishing so I am going to Paddletial it out , that if I get a gap in the Grass .

Thanks , Well I dont know about the Leeries , but let me tell you the ocean is alive , theres some baby elf around plenty of Mozzies , so the Leeries should put in an appearance soon , the patch of good colour We fished on Friday morning moved of with the Westerly pushing it away from the Coast , but the wind swung around agian , so it could be good again ...

Well good news for the guys thats fishing this side the Weekend .

Perfect weather , hardly any wind , and theres some good colour from Die Brood , all the way around to past Skulpies en Koos segat . yester day and the day before the wind howled SE / SSE .
I am sure as hell not gonne sit around , Theres been some Spotties around , and some Rags , No need to go far .

And the Kob has been bitting lekker , good sized fish . Live mullets are a winner and the guys getting the good fish are putting in the time to get proper mullets . I have been gettin some too , but on 8lbs Spinning tackle and Paddletails , lots of fun , and much better than carrying big tackle and baitboxes ect . I have managed to hook into what felt like a serious fish twice , once getting reefed after en lekker run , and one the hook did not set . the other bunch was al between 46 and 66 cm , and I suppose they where schooling , I released all of them , and got some strange looks from the rest of the guys .

So we got a occy , We got 2 other guys and waiting for the wind , rumours has been flying around of good fish in the Spookdraai area , large Kob . The wind is hampering Fishing efforts , but I want to get some Fishing done before the 16th .

Will fish theriver in the morn , not ideal condisions , but will cast a couple of lures and hace some old bait for lokkies . will report back on the situation .

WARNING , COMING FROM CALEDON ABOUT 15 KM OUT THERES ROADWORKS , ITS AS YOU COME UP A HILL , BE VERY CAREFULL THIS IS ON THE N2 , THE GUYS COMING FROM nAPIER TO CALEDON ITS ABOUT 50 KM OUT OF nAPIER .
